NaturalCam collects nothing.
No analytics, no crash reporting, no accounts, no advertising identifiers, no network requests of any kind. The app has no server to send anything to.
What the permissions are for
Taking the photograph
Frames are read from the sensor, developed on the device, and written to your photo library. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is retained by the app.
Saving the result
Each capture is written as a developed HEIF with its Bayer RAW DNG attached to the same asset.
Re-developing a shot
Finding shots that carry a RAW so they can be developed again with a different look. Images are read only while you are looking at them.
What stays on the device
Your saved slots, preferences and the framing you last used are stored on the phone. They are included in an encrypted iPhone backup if you make one, and are removed when the app is deleted.
Photos you share
Photographs are saved with the metadata a camera normally writes, including the capture settings and — if location services are on for the camera at the system level — where the shot was taken. That travels with the file if you share it. Turn it off in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.
